Highlights in pictures: Stockholm Cup Day 2024

This past Sunday, the biggest event of the autumn, Stockholm Cup Day, took place at Bro Park. We witnessed top-level international racing and an emotional rollercoaster throughout the day. Now, you can relive the event through the eyes of our photographers.
Spectators filled the stands, and the excitement was palpable as the best horses from Scandinavia and international guests met at Bro Park.

Scandinavia’s new sprint king, Aphelios, put on a show in the Tryckservice Bro Park Sprint Championship (L).

A winning team! Aphelios and Elione Chaves have raced seven times together – winning six of them.

With determined steps, winning jockey Hugo Boutin walks into the paddock ahead of the Stockholm Cup International (Gr.3).

And they're off! The start of the Stockholm Cup International (Gr.3).

It was an incredibly tight finish between Hard One To Please (closest to the camera) and Best of Lips in the Stockholm Cup International (Gr.3). After reviewing the photo finish, it was confirmed that the German guest, Best of Lips, won by the narrowest of margins.

The participants in the Tapwell Stockholm Cup Pony Race head to the starting line in front of packed grandstands. Noah Ahlberg and Trix W took the victory in the race.

Little Arabella and Alina Öhgren brought joy to the home crowd by winning the Lanwades Stud Stakes (L).

It was an emotional victory for Alina Öhgren, not only securing her biggest career triumph but doing so with her favorite horse, Little Arabella, whom she has ridden in training for two years.

Another home victory came in the Tattersalls Nickes Minneslöpning (L), where Twirling Ghost (green/yellow silks) led from start to finish.

Jack Mitchell rode his first race in Sweden, and it couldn’t have ended better – a Listed win with Twirling Ghost.

The starting point at 2100 meters on the grass track is a fan favorite!

Svensk Galopp’s new CEO, Björn Nilsson, welcomed the crowd.

In last year’s edition of H M Queen’s Prize, the British guest Throne Hall was beaten by Monsieur Vic by a length. This time, the tables were turned. Brodie Hampson rode the winner.

Celebration after the steeplechase H M King’s Prize, where Mutadaffeq and Niklas Lovén emerged victorious in a thrilling finish.

Horse owners, trainers, and breeders with runners were invited to a reception at the manor house.
