Another Listed victory for the speedy I Kirk

The high-class sprinter I Kirk landed the Listed Zawawi Cup at Jägersro Galopp on Sunday. The Swedish-bred son of Eishin Dunkirk has now won this race three years in a row.

I Kirk, who without doubt is the best sprinter on dirt in Scandinavia, led the 1200 m race from start to finish, winning with three lengths ahead of Breakdancer (Tale Of Ekati).

The six-year-old gelding was ridden to victory by Carlos Lopez. The gelding is trained by Susanne Berneklint at Jägersro and owned by Hästgruppen i Lund AB.
